escitalopram BAD TRIP

Posted by linkadge on June 22, 2010, at 18:56:40

I restarted escitalopram after a month or so break. I feel so incredably depersonalized and numb. I've also been feeling like I'm on a really bad trip. Things look strange, feel strange, spacy, like I'm dead and hollow. I feel suppressed emotion leaching out - resonating periodically. I project feelings on to objects I see, cars, trains. I'd like to be dead. This is pointless. I f'd up again by going on an SSRI. This is a brain disabling treatment. Perhaps good for people wracked with dysphoric emotional overdrive - certainly not for people who just hate life and enjoy nothing. Why do doctors prescribe this crap. Does it go straight from the lab rats to human trails. Do the reseachers ever ingest the stuff themselves, somewhere in the process, to see if the drug can be prescribed with any ethical sensibility?
