Trivastal = Piribedil: Unique, Subtle, Mysterious

Trivastal = piribedil, yet another unique, subtle and slightly mysterious drug manufactured by French Servier (who also cooked up tianeptine).

I took 50mg XR for a month. The drug is mild, but it sure has antidepressant qualities in my experience. I was taking too many other drugs at the time to give a fair evaluation though. I do think it also has some cognition enhancing qualities.

If I had enough money, I would surely use this drug more, perhaps daily. It's not available on prescription here in Holland.

It seems to be the only non-ergoline D2-agonist that doesn't promote sleep attacks.

Current meds: 10mg melitracene + 0.5mg flupentixol; sertraline 100mg; amitriptyline 25mg; gabapentin (Neurontin) 300mg; melatonin 0.3mg. PRN: diazepam (Valium) 2.5-5mg.
