> Yes, its a good medication. I first got samples of the 200mg pack and often only needed just 100mg. Its a nice 'wake promoting agent' that isn't as habit forming or intense as stimulants. The problem is that many insurance carriers don't have it formulary so it is quite expensive. It can't be taken past the afternoon because you won't be able to get a good night sleep after that point. There is a new version called 'Nuvigil', which I didn't like as much because it didn't improve my mood like Provigil did.

Thanks, bearfan. I don't have to worry about my insurance. I am in Canada and have insurance through my work, which covers 80% of prescription drugs (with an annual $60 deductible). No formulary problems, at least that I have encountered in the many years I have had this insurance.

I haven't tried the Provigil yet. I want to wean off Remeron first before adding something new. So, in about a week I will be giving it a go. My doctor had first raised Concerta with me, but I asked him about Provigil and he seemed to think it may be worth trying. If it doesn't help, or I have unpleasant side effects, then I will try the Concerta.
