LDN and Synthroid

Posted by Melba Bona on March 8, 2010, at 11:05:08

Hi. I'm new to this board and new to low-dose Naltrexone. I started it three days ago as a last-ditch effort to treat intractable sarcoidosis. I'm writing to see if anyone knows where to find an answer to the following question: When taking Synthroid and LDN, does the Synthroid dosage have to change during LDN therapy? I know that Synthroid dosage has to be adjusted for patients with autoimmune Hashimoto's disease who take LDN, but I'm taking Syn because I have no thyroid--it was removed in 2005. I've been searching for weeks for an answer to this question online and cannot find it. If anyone can direct me to a site that might help, I'd appreciate it.
P.S. One reason I started LDN for my sarc is because I have neurological involvement that causes depression. I'm hoping LDN works.
