Still fighting rapid cycling i search for unconventional drugs,i came across campral, and personaly found its method of action amazing.
To try to explain what impressed me,was the drug blocks glutamte transmission, which in turn stops neuro toxcitity, and therefore the drug actualy is said on wikipedia to be nuero protective.the drug also has a a stabling effect on sodium channels which many calming drugs have, and last it has a affect on gaba a receptors.
Its official use is for achlolol dependance, but worldwide its known simply as a anti craving drug.
Im very intersted in how this med would play out for mood stablization as it sounds like a potent mood stablizer.
FYI its also being studied for nicotine withdrawal.
Feel free to wikipedia it and see what you think, opinions welcome.
