selegiline is MAO-B selective up to about 10mg. so you could theoretically take it alongside an SSRI so long as there wasnt a conflict with the enzymes that metabolize those meds. Once you exceed 10mg you start inhibiting MAO-A and with it comes the boost in serotonin and the increased odds of serotonin toxicity.
all the literature just says 'NO', it doesnt say 'why' or list the special cases in which you can make exceptions.
