Would you happen to remember where you came across these trials. Even better, do you have any available links?

I would agree with you on the matter of problems arising from multiple medicine use. Currently those who require it, however, are left with little choice at a point in time when a sound knowledge of the underlying pathology of many affective disorders has yet to be elucidated.

This will provide a framework onto which a new generation of rationally designed drugs can be hinged. Psychopharmacology's relative infancy/primacy currently means that drug cocktails will be around for some time; as drugs counter the side effects of drugs or aim to target separate transmitters.

Worth noting too is the dominance towards selectivity over the past 25 years in drug design, mostly as a reaction to perceptions regarding the undesirability of existing multi-targeting drugs, the tricyclics.

I keep learning about MAOIs and multiple RIs that have existed since the 1970s but aren't in clinical use. Pyrizadol is a RIMA of 5-HT and NE in use since the 70s for depression in Russia.
