I know a lot of folks have issues with the weight gain from meds. It's a shame to give up a med that works for a side effect. Particularly if the side effect can be dealt with. I have spoken to several folks who have had good experiences adding metformin (stabilizes insulin levels - thus can help prevent craving and glucose storage as fat). Any experiences? I've used it. It has few side effects and MAY increase longevity.

Also, a new weight loss drug is in stage three. It is a combination of wellbutrin and naltrexone. Contrave. here's some info:

Please let me know if anyone has experiences with either of these combos. THANKS!
