Most stablizers have a end result of simply making more gaba available in the nogon, more gaba benifits benzos to work more potently. So in short,i will say this, yess i agree replacment of a benzo with a stablizer is less likly in most cases to cease anxiety, the two alone how might possably hold a nice synergy one that can stop anxiety dead in its tracks.
For myself i found this to be klonopin and gabpentin, lyrcia is a hyped up cousin more expensive and overly potent in my view.
