Hi.

I have been tested with the saliva test and the dexamethasone suppression test (DST). Both tests showed that my cortisol level was too high.

I once tried a drug called mifepristone. It is a cortisol receptor blocker. It didn't help at all, and I felt washed-out by the end of the trial. However, I wasn't a good candidate for treatment with mifepristone because it had been successfully tested only with psychotic depression. In fact, even with psychotic depression, there was still some residual depression despite having the psychosis disappear.
