I had trouble coming off Cymbalta too. I had taken it for a couple of years and thought my depression was gone (yea, right, always wanting to come off the meds when I feel well, always forgetting that I just might be feeling better because of the meds!)
Anyway, since I wasn't going on a new drug, the withdrawal was hard, especially because I wasn't titrating up on a new drug.
It really took several months for me to get it out of my system. Benadryl helped, as did the Klonopin I was still taking.
I'm on Celexa and Lyrica now, which is working well for the time being.
