Lunesta [Eszopiclone] An Antidepressant?

Posted by Exentric on May 29, 2009, at 15:28:59

Hello all,

This may sound weird but I am pretty happy with my Lunesta [Eszopiclone] pills because they tremendously help me to get relief from depressive symptoms.

I started taking Lunesta for my sleep problems associated with depression. I was taking good doses of Lyrica (600 mg all at once in the morning to get the maximum mood elevating effects) but now I can skip Lyrica for a day or two after being on Lunesta 2mg at night. Lunesta helps me to sleep and maintain sleep, but if I feel like staying up after taking it, there does not seem to be much of problems apart from having something related to a sedative high.

Though I havent tested this in the daytime, I will be doing it tomorrow since it is the weekend.

But is there or are there any in this board who have such antidepressant effect from a night dose of Eszopiclone?

Flipside: Metallic taste in the mouth, but after one week, it seems gone!!!
