It has been used experimentally in psychiatry.

Yes it seems that since its patent has expired, generics from the former Rite-Aid owned pharmacy drugstore.com for ondansetron as it is I think the oldest 5HT3 blocker, have gone down to about $1 a pill (8mg). I'm not going to get into shady 'offshore' pharmacies for obvious reasons.

There are about 8 or 10 generic companies looking at the FDA's orange book.

5HT3 medications though such as Kytril (granisetron) are still prohibitively expensive even with a generic out, except for the cost-benefit decision for their intended purpose of short term chemotherapy rounds with nausea.

It is also thought that ginger is a weak 5HT3 blocker from some studies.
