Naltrexone

Posted by down under on March 1, 2009, at 6:08:17

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has experience with poop out of antidepressants and could advise if Naltrexone could help me. Although I am not taking SSRI, I have convienced by doc to let me try this augmentation in the hope of getting long term remission.

I am currently taking Anafranil (Clomipramine ) and edronax ( Reboxetine). This combo worked really well for a while. I had complete remission from depression. However, like other meds, it stopped working after a about year. I had the very same experience with Anafranil by itself as well as Effexor. Now I am researching to find something in the hope of stopping the poop out.

The reading about Naltrexone gives me some hope, I guess my question is, is there a possibility that Naltrexone will working with the combination I am taking now? since its not a SSRI type med.
Any suggestions or experiences that you may have would be much apprciated.

many thanks
Pete
