1. Nardil + nortriptyline

Nardil has proGABAergic properties and known to be better for anxiety than Parnate. Most people report nortriptyline to less anxiogenic than desipramine. This has been my experience as well.

2. Parnate + desipramine

Parnate has fewer and less severe side effects compared to Naradil. Parnate generally causes less hypotension that resolves after several weeks. Nardil produces hypotension that lingers and has less chance to disappear. Nardil produces anorgasmia and edema, and is hard on the liver. Desipramine can be more activating than nortriptyline and feel similar to a stimulant at first. Weight gain is more of a problem with nortripyline than desipramine.
