I was on Serzone for years for Anxiety and Panic d/o. I couldn't tolerate SSRI's or Tricyclics, but had no problem getting on Serzone. Getting off was pure hell, but I have that problem with all meds. Serzone is an antagonist at the 5ht2a receptor that you don't get from Effexor. This receptor is thought to play a huge part in anxiety and panic. I developed poop out from it and didn't know where to turn. After failing all other meds and 18 months has gone by from weaning Serzone, I'm going back on it to see if will work again. I'm starting at 100mg twice per day. I'll update you on my progress.
