Do you have unipolar or bipolar depression?
Pristiq treats unipolar depression.
Seroquel treats bipolar depression.
Not quite sure why you would start on both at the same time.> Ok, what is the deal with Seroquel? I've been taking Pristiq 50mg in the morning for depression and Seroquel XR 300mg at bedtime, which my doc told me will be used to treat my depression and anxiety. After two weeks of this treatment which yielded no results for my depression/anxiety my doc prescribed me another dose of Seroquel XR 300mg for the morning, in addition to the one that I was taking at bedtime. My doc insists that the Seroquel will help my depression/anxiety along with the Pristiq (which is for depression). I've had no results with either med. I realize the Pristiq may take time to kick in, but I'm not sure about the Seroquel. I need advice: Has anyone been treated for either depression OR anxiety with Seroquel XR? What were the results? I feel lost at this point. PLEASE HELP! Thanks a bunch!
