Sorry to hear you're feeling like that.
Back in 1987, I was put on a 2 month course of accutane.
In the middle of treatment, I came down with mononucleosis. My GP said it was okay to continue with the accutane.
I was 29 at the time and missed 4 months of work.
There is a history of panic disorder in my family. No one has ever been treated for depression.
I was 15 when I experienced my first panic attack and had learned to cope with the disorder up untill I started accutane and came down with mono.
Since then, I have suffered with depression. Like most who are clinicaly depressed, it has been a challenge..... hospital, ect, various med. cocktails.
I have often wondered if the accutane was the source of my depression.
Maybe it was coincidental? I will never know. I do know this much, I would never allow any of my family members to be treated with accutane.

I am not trying to scare anyone, however, I feel my story should be told. No doctor has suggested there was even a slight chance that my depression was brought on by accutane. And it may not have been. I'm sure the drug has helped many with cystic acne. Mine wasn't even that bad to start with. Oh well, life does go on.
Goodluck with whatever you decide.

Rick
