Yeah the rumour is that its very very close to 'opinion' from the EMEA in europe. I know from reading all this stuff for the past 6 months that agomelatine was submitted sometime last summer (before november anyway). The usual EMEA turnaround time for a drug from submission to opinion is about 1 year. Then its anyones guess to how long it takes the drug to hit the market. Id say 2-6 months is a good estimate. This is the second time around after a failed attmept in 2006, so much of what they are reviewing would be covering old ground. It is very possible that it could make it out before christmas.
Now that would be a nice christmas present eh :)
