Question about a sloshing brain

Posted by Dinah on August 8, 2008, at 10:21:31

Sometimes I have the distinct impression that I can feel my brain moving. Maybe being a beat behind me when I move my head. Or just feeling a bit sloshy.

I've always associated it with those weird medication side effects that are totally in my mind, although they do make me wonder what on earth I'm taking.

Yesterday I was reading a memoir of a neurosurgeon, and I read that the brain really does sway gently in a sea of brain fluid of some sort as we go about our daily activities.

Is it possible that that weird side effect isn't totally all in my mind? That it might be in my brain instead? And if so, what on earth am I taking? Why would I feel those odd sensations?
