Hey Steve...Gary.

I can see by the video you've been fighting with anxiety for quite some time.
Good on you for trying to remain positive, funny how much strength we get from our kids.

We've been discussing our current treatment plans in another thread so no sense rehashing all that.

My first panic attack was in 1973. I was 15 years old.
I can tell you there was not alot of support at the time, most people tried to hide their disorder out of embarrasment.
Most doc's would hand you a prescription for valium and away you'd go.

I dropped out of school... too many attacks during class and no one to talk to. My parents thought I was going nuts, so logically, so did I.

From what I saw in the video looked like an anxiety disorder to me.
I don't think it really matters how a doctor labels it, panic attack, anxiety disorder, freakin out...bottom line is that affects our lives.

I believe as we grow older, mature or whatever it's called, our ability to deal with stress changes.
So, your panic attacks and all the symptoms they manifested in the past, may present in a different manner today?

I would not get to hung up with the "wording" used to descibe your feelings.
If you have been checked out physically and have a clean bill of health, your focus should be "how to enjoy my life, with my family".

I believe all the suffering people like us go through only makes us stronger, appreciate the little things in life and so on.

You have experience on your side now. The worst days are behind you, because "you" know what is ailing you. And it is treatable. I've lived through it along with millions of others.

Yes, it can be frustrating and seem like an eternity when the days are a struggle, but it will pass. This I know, and I believe you know as well.

So, we can label it what we want, does it really matter at the end of the day?

If we were told it's called xyz and oh, by the way, there's no cure, we'd still be in the same boat. You are the Captain so stay the course!

Ships ahoy mate. :)

Regards, Rick
