A possibility: sometimes people get hypomania (sometimes with mixed features) as a side effect of antidepressants. You don't have to be bipolar for this to happen. Or it may be a stimulant-like side effect. Parnate can have stimulant type effects for some people. If you look at the chemical structure, it bears more than a passing resemblance to amphetamine.

I know how awful the rumination thing can be. How much do you feel the clonazepam is helping? I'd call my doc if I were in your shoes, and make it clear how serious your situation is.
