Jeroen, it just doesn't make medical sense that after this length of time Lamictal, having left your system a long time ago, is still doing something.

You sound very upset, morose, and scared, and this is understandable. But if not for any friends around you then you need some support here because like I have said, I have a feeling that you aren't listening to my advice, which is your prerogative, but if the Seroquel works, it works..

I asked you before to take a cuff measure, you can get them in the drug stores here now for not much money, I don't know your situation there, but blood pressure and pulse monitors are not that expensive.

Second of all, I have taken Seroquel and Trazodone and they both have the same experience you have. I'm still here, with my own problems, but my point is if you focus on the side effects, what choices are you going to have with medication. I dare say Clozaril could do it too.

It just has to do usually with a blood pressure and pulse change and/or some short idiosyncratic reaction.

Would your doctor let you take home a electronic pulse measuring device so you can prove to yourself once and for all what is going on?

If none of the above do you know how to take your pulse? I'm not that great at it, but hold the point where your wrist meets your hand, or if you can't do that like I can't often, just hold your hand to your heart and count the number of beats in 15 seconds and multiply by 4. If its 60-120 or so you really don't have a problem but on the high end I will admit its not comfortable.

So you have to find something that is going to produce more functionality. And there are idiosyncratic reactions. But they may not persist. An antipsychotic does not work overnight but takes several weeks to show something at least.

Best wishes

Jay
