Derealization / Depersonalization

Posted by therock on March 4, 2008, at 6:00:57

Hello everyone,

I am wondering, if someone suffers from both derealization and depersonalization for a long period of time...say 10-15 years...along with anxiety and depression...is it possible for these symptoms to resolve solely through psychotherapy? if this is possible, is it likely to happen if a person is committed to doing the healing? or is it much more likely that these things will not resolve and simply need to be managed for the rest of a person's life?

thank you.
