It is helpful to separate what is "organic", meaning anything from seizures to god forbid tumors or lesions, which of course can only be seen on an MRI. Seizures I guess are probably seen on EEGs or other neurological devices.
You're right, it may have nothing to do with the medication, but it assures you and the doctor to move forward and stabilize you as much as possible, not saying that you aren't already "stable."
