Any dose of Seroquel other than an almost non-existant one like 12.5mg will make one drowsy, and yes will increase appetite. As for being drowsy in the daytime, I would say a clinical dose (200-400+) can simply help person A with their condition and also their insomnia and they wake up reasonably without grog, but sometimes person B will need a little caffeine (which is like chasing rainbows, anxiety + caffeine.... side tangent) or a catnap after they wake up.

I would agree with the other poster that in time, people become used to and manage the drowsiness in the morning to some degree. The appetite -- well its not as bad as Trazodone in my view, but its there. Yes, one has to figure I way X pounds and I should get Y calories per day to not gain weight, and subtract a few hundred for the Seroquel to maintain a steady range. Of course excercise helps too. There will be a bit of pushing away from the table for some.

But some people eat anyway to take the pain of anxiety and depression away, so its hard to tease out the two.

Ultimately its keeping a watch, yes, on your body. But its also a balance is the benefits outweighing (pardon the blundered not funny pun) the risk of taking Seroquel.

I hope that helped
