I think they genuinely felt a lot worse. These drugs all twist the mind powerfully. Hopefully in a good direction, but sometimes not.

**Thank you so much for this information. I just started Lamictal last Thursday, and I was told the only side-effect to be concerned about was the possible rash. Well, since Friday, I've been extremely tired, regardless of how much sleep I get. Then just within the last couple of days, I've started to feel very depressed and suicidal. I'm only on 25mg right now, and it's barely been a week, so I don't know that I can blame it on the Lamictal, but after doing a little research, I found that worsening depression is a possible side-effect, albeit an uncommon one. I read that FDA report that came out just a few weeks ago regarding worsening depression and suicidality on anti-convulsants, and it was very interesting.

So anyway, now that I know that "people here for years have said how Lamictal made them feel suicidal," I know I'm not crazy for at least thinking that the Lamictal might be responsible for how I'm feeling right now.

Thanks again!
