Seroquel and Lexapro

Posted by Bonnie_CA on February 12, 2008, at 19:09:30

Right now, here is my list of meds.

10 mg Lexapro
100 mg Lamictal (this is a change, was on 200 mg)
.25 mg - 1 mg Xanax (he is just allowing a higher dose for bad days, I generally take .5 mg when things are stable)
BCP
50 mg Seroquel (new med)

I was reading about how Seroquel works, and it kind of seems like it would be canceling out the Lexapro. Am I understanding the mechanism of Seroquel correctly? My pdoc just didn't take me off of Lexapro yet so I wouldn't have too many changes at once.

BTW, my Rx is Bipolar 2, rapid cycling, anxiety and panic disorders.
