Ok, so ECT was a bad experience for you and many others but your post to this poor person is hardly reassuring!
Wouldn't you say that "it destroyed your brain" is a bit of an over exaggeration!!! I don't get the impression that you are shuffling around like a zombie although I do sympathise with the the memory problems that you have had.
I think to use statements like that to somebody who is having ECT is very insensitive.
