The general guideline most pdocs would follow would be a 2 week washout of ALL antidepressants, and any contraindicated OTC drugs. (Make sure you know the list). Also, I don't know how big a role the MAOI diet will play with your dosage of EMSAM, but the last week of washout should include being on the MAOI diet. Have you tried the "old school" MAOI's? What else have you tried that hasn't worked? What are your current meds? Good luck on EMSAM. Let me know how it works getting it imported and all. (not the specifics as that would violate site rules)
