You're probably safe -- especially at the low dose your doctor prescribed.

On the other hand, the anxiety you're experiencing about starting Wellbutrin isn't going to go away in the first few weeks of taking it -- and that might be a problem. Wellbutrin isn't as anxiety-reducing as the SSRIs are, although reduced depression may well reduce your anxiety. And Wellbutrin has a reputation for kicking in faster than the SSRIs, which is a good thing. The bottom line, though, is that as much anxiety as you're apparently feeling about starting it might lead you to give up on it prematurely. It might be wise to wait until your holiday stress levels go down before trying it.

Then again, if you start it now, you might be feeling some benefits by New Year's, which would also be a very good thing, wouldn't it? The sooner you start, the sooner it will start working.

Just some ideas.

Good luck.
