I just wanted to let everyone know that the makers of Topamax stopped additional testing on the medicine in 2004 and abandoned their petition to the FDA to have it approved as a weight losss drug. That new study they just put out that says the med can help addicts was done by an independent study group. It looks as though the makers of the drug know that it isn't all it was thought to be and they should start disclosing what they know to the public before more people get hurt.
