You would not bring someone only sadness. Life for everyone is difficult at times just for some of us it is often times more difficult. I do the same thing but not everyone at the wedding is on top of the world. There could have been someone that looked at you and thought "I wish I could be like that guy".
Meeting a girl is not just fun and sun. There will be good times and bad but you will find someone to share life with. Give the nardil some time and work on things. You will do fine.
