i've been on many antianxiety medications, first it was, well actaully my first medication was lexapro. That didnt help at all, i went like a year on antidepressants, for anxiety! my doctor finally started using Clonazepam. After that Lorazepam (Ativan)
Then finally after just years of horrific wonderful anxiety, i was put on xanax.
The bad thing, but the good thing is it only lasts approx. 2 hours. For me exactly.
Ativan lasted 6-5 hours. Which was good but sometimes i didnt feel i need to be sedated after. Xanax is just a really quick acting anxiety ridder.
It has a sedative effect but sometimes, when things get on my mind and bother me until im almost fixing to DIE! i think i need Lithium. I havent talked with my pdoc in a while. Main thing, i never want to call my doctor a million times.
But xanax is good in a weight because, you know the timing of when its going to where off, quick.
