> I am 47 years old. I've had elevated prolactin for about 20 years. I've had several MRIs & have found no tumor. I've been steadily gaining weight & cannot take it off. I'm presently 210 lbs. & afraid that within 10 years, if I keep going the way I have been, I'll reach 300. Every endocronlogist I've seen says elevated Prolactin has nothing to do with weight gain. Now my cholesterol is high & I'm suffering chronic back pains. I feel like an old woman. If I regulate my Prolactin w/ Dostinex will I be able to diet and lose weight? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you

I came to this post searching for prolactin (I am male and lab test showed a bit elevated prolactin).

Have you checked your thyroid?. It seems to me you have low thyroid (back pain, cholesteron, weight gain, depression and even elevated prolactin are symptoms).
