I think you miss my point.
I am not saying that your observation are inaccurate (or accurate).Seems like Matt was reacting very angrily to your observations. I know I don't like being labeled or people (except for my trusted intimates) to declare anything about me.
An example....I completely crashed after the birth of my child. I could barely move. The "oh, she has postpartum depression" struck me as so demeaning and unhelpful. I felt it condescending for people to offer up this statement so readily-especially when no help or apparent empathy was offered a long with the declaration. It enraged me. Good thing I had no energy!
Do you see what I mean?
