Stomach Acid and Anger

Posted by Quintal on August 25, 2007, at 16:02:37

Does anyone know if there is a link between stomach acid and anger? All last night and today my stomach has been overflowing with acid, creeping up my throat and making my mouth sour. At the same time I've been in the foulest of tempers; seething, bouncing, stotting, fulminating, even dancing with rage. I tried antacids to no avail, so I took a capsule of left-over lansoprazole and feel slightly better, calmer. All the time I was taking lansoprazole I was very calm, almost unnaturally calm for me. So what gives?

I suppose there's a chicken + egg paradox to this, but I think the two are linked in some way. Does anyone know more/had similar experiences?
