yeah - the drug industry is SERIOUSLY f'ed up in this country..but we all knew that.
ok one think im noticing right off the bat is that cyprenil, at least in 2X5mg doses, does appear to have a significant mao-a inhibitory effect.
i say that as im taking 8mg daily of lexapro (yeah i know - bad idea to mix ssri and maoi - but that's if you're getting a significant mao-a ihibition effect..or so i believe based upon my reading) and ive noticed myself becoming noticeably more sedated and somewhat sleepy about an hour or so after taking the cyp. so this leads me to believe it's not quite so mao-b selective, at least for me, and at this dose.
so my plan is to taper off the lexapro but stay on 5-htp and st. john's wort which were not strong enough by themselves. so, hoping that with the mao-a properties of cyp ill be able to get off the ssri completely.
