i want to try guanfacine to see if it will help with focusing my thoughts and action, and with my akathisia. i'm wary of trying clonidine, but i guess i might if i have to. i'm not really hugely into sedation tho.
i'm not really worried about depressiogenic effects, i was fine on aricept. if i have any problems i have the option to go off. it just seems to be a simple receptor agonist. i also have higher BP than most people my age, and definately higher than most people my size.
i don't know if it will be effective, if it is an effective medication period, but i have tried a lot anyway, so i am already mostly outside of what is conventional, so i may as well try.
problem: i live in canada. i was wondering if it now being approved for another indication, as INTUNIV for ADHD, means it may become officially available here. i guess the price may be atrocious. the other option is just buying it from the states. i'm not asking about doing something illegal, but in canada, i have met people who take drugs from the states, but haven't been approved for direct sale here, and i suspect there is probably no legal barrier against it. more of an issue that there was no financial reasoning for any higher powers to get the paperwork done to SELL it here.
if i were to buy it in the states, would i need a prescription from an american doctor, or even more specific like canada, a doctor from the state i am buying from?
anyway, again if this is truly illegal tell me. i am not asking about how to do something illegal, but from what i gather from observation it may easily not be illegal, and the legal issues involve boundaries that the drug retailers have to go by, but does not place restrictions on the patient. at least what it seems with canadians using american drugs, and even vice versa (i know some transgendered people who use antiandrogens available here, but are american, i don't think there was any hard legal boundary.)
