Tolerance and addiction make long term use a no-no. Tolerance to pain meds icreases rapidly. I had surgury (3) last fall and was takign 1 percocet every 6 hours. Wihin 6 weeks I needed 4-5 to get same effect. I neede to taper off which took a month. The last pill is excrutuating for 8 days. No sleep, intestinal probs and joint pai. O tookclonodint and zanax on occasion for sleep. Not a drug for therapy.
