Geodon for severe mood swings???

Posted by Colleen D. on June 14, 2007, at 20:04:06

I have not been dx'ed as Bipolar but my GP had me start Geodon yesterday. Today was a VERY GOOD day on it compared to the rage and irritability and anxiety I'm used to. But I've got myself thinking that I want something to help so badly that I've convinced myself it's actually working. After being in the mental health system for 7 years, could EVERYONE that I've seen have missed a BP dx???

Any Geodon experiences, good or bad? And what does this all mean? Can anyone help me understand the action of this drug?

I'm also taking Zoloft, Klonopin, doxepin and today started the new OTC med for weight loss - Alli. I'm tired of being crazy AND fat! I've got 28 lbs. yet to lose to get to my ideal weight. I've been on a strict exercise program for 2 months, which has helped with my depression immensely!

Thanks,
Colleen
