I'm certain you won't find the same level of cognitive impairment - poor concentration, poor memory etc in moderate caffeine users as in moderate benzo users.
I think the inevitability of tolerance and some degree of impairment is a good reason to view drugs as an aid for short-term relief, and also a good reason to think carefully of how difficult it might be to get off a drug again before you start taking it.
