All I can tell you is that FDA said approved this drug with ZERO food restrictions on the 6mg patch with extensive controlled studies. Now they never bothered to do the research to see if there were really any restrictions on the 9 and 12mg patch, but they went ahead and suggested food restrictions to cover themselves.
I am NOT saying what you had is NOT legit, but ppl (myself included) have had food reactions WITHOUT being on any meds.
If you feel that eating the soy sauce was a direct response to Emsam and you are not taking any other meds or have never had another similiar type of experience in your life (even when not taking meds), then you should call the FDA or the makers of Emsam to report this. Im serious. They will have someone interview you.
