Switch from Emsam to MAOI

Posted by Linda746 on April 18, 2007, at 12:32:45

I've posted before about my skin reactions to Emsam patches. I've tried everything and still get itching and redness to the point where I have to remove the patch after 12-18 hours.
My pdoc has suggested going to an oral MAOI. I would like input on which MAOI would be the best in terms of diet and drug interactions. I'm currently taking Suboxone, Lamictal, Estrace, Provera, Lipitor and prn Seroquel and Trazadone. I use Trazadone to take the edge off the Emsam. I use the Seroquel for sleep. My non-medicated BP is 110/75. My bp has gone up from mixing Emsam and Trazadone but not as much as it went up when taking Effexor. Thanks in Advance.
