Girls' sex boost pill invented
A NEW pill has been invented that could boost the sex drives of thousands of women.
Flibanserin was designed to fight depression but trials showed it improved women’s libidos instead.
Experts hope the drug — which stimulates parts of the brain controlling arousal — could do as much for women as Viagra has for men.
Dr Charles de Wet, from the German drug firm behind Flibanserin, said: “The aim is to return women’s sexual desire to a normal state.”
The drug is undergoing US trials and could be available by 2009.
