Since there's no cross-tolerance between Ambien and Halcion, this makes it a good combination by keeping my benzo tolerance low while still allowing for consistent sleep. So about four days out of the week I will be taking Halcion and I will be taking Ambien on the remaining three. I'll keep you all updated, but so far it seems to be working out.

Sounds like a plan -- there is crosstolerance though between any benzodiazepine and a pseudobenzodiazepine like Ambien. The two don't work quite in the same way but they do touch GABA-BZ. But alternating may affect that crosstolerance somewhat, so sounds good.

And a pleasant sleep
