I remember feeling the typical benzo calm as you described come over me quickly, lasting about two hours after taking a dose of triazolam. In that sense it was much like every other benzo except for its short half-life.
Have you thought about using ear plugs to help stop you being wakened so easily by other housemates? I have dogs and they often wake me up with their licking and snffling noises in the night. My youngest bitch also snores and ear pugs help a lot with this.
