Yeah I drank (alot) too whilst on prozac, effexor and also celexa (sister to lex). I think its just that the medication intensifies the effects of alcolhol. And it makes hangovers a hell of a lot worse. I'm led to believe that alcohol is mildly anti-depressant at small doses (you know the buzz after a couple of glasses of wine say), then becomes more depressant like. Some people says it stops the said SSRI from working, but when I was on them, my docs never said anything about that. And I was in college too (and in the UK where our drinking age is 18) so you'd think they'd mention that whilst they were prescribing the pills.
