I personally wouldn't stick with him--he clearly hasn't learned the importance of the term "informed consent"--but if you do, you need to lay down the law. Just be firm and explain that you're a grown up and you expected to be treated like one, so you expect to be given full information on anything he prescribes and you want to have some sort of input, since it is your life, afterall.

I totally agree with you. I have actually been feeling like he felt I was lying about the amount I drink. I think I might give him a call tomorrow and ask him why he didn't tell me the truth about this drug.
