> HI, I'm an epileptic suffering from major seizures, temporal lobe epilepsy and also petit mal seizures. I live in South Africa and the internet is literally my "saviour" regarding medication and possible treatment. at this stage i'm on 600mg tegretol, 200mg lamictin, 30mg valium to prevent night seizures, ativan sl 1mg x 3 per day and lately neurontin 100mg three times daily, in an effort to control night seizures. i was firstly diagnosed with bipolar disorder, thereafter my psychiatrist changed the diagnoses to borderline personality disorder (which actually makes more sense considering my behaviour). I suffer from terrible ups and downs, lately I am intensely anxious, but also majorly depressed. This can change within minutes.

Please seek advice from your neurologist and psychiatrist. They need to collaborate together in regards to your medication regime. If you are unable to get an appointment ASAP, go to the nearest ER. Yes, there are certain AD's that you should stay clear of that will exacerbate your seizure disorder.
